hi, i have a question about acupuncture...i really need so help. a couple of weeks ago, i started my acupuncture treatment with a women who i was reffered to (she is a medical doctor, who has been practicing for 20 years). i have bad anxiety (which got really bad within the past couple of months, hence, the reason why i started down this path) and also suffer with mild mood that turns into depression on some days. as i sais, i had my first treatment a couple of weeks ago (i have had 4 treatments thus far), at first, it may have been working...my anxiety was definetly still there but i didn't really reach panic mode. i started to notice other symptoms though. at different times of the day, i would get nauseous. i thought this would pass but, the more i keep getting acupuncture, the more i felt sick. in addition, a couple sessions ago, i discussed my depression problem. the next day, i had the the most severe depression i had had in years, along with the little half an hour bouts of nauseousness. i am still so tired, mild-mooded, anxious, and now have certain times of the day where i am not hungry or can't eat at all (this one was never me before). so, i am very confused on what to do. i have read that some people have "flare-ups" or something like that but, could it really last that long? i spoke with a friend this afternoon, she urged me to stop seeing this women. i don't know what to do or what is normal. i have called my acupuncturist about these issues and all she keeps saying is "you need to come in and i have to look at your tongue". she has seen my tongue 5 times already...i just want her to tell me if this happens or is the normal healing process. i don't want to stop if i am in the middle of healing...i don't know. i just feel all around either worse mixed with a lot of the same symptoms. any advice would be so greatly appreciated. thanks so much...i am desperate for some clarification.
