Acupuncture? Cost? Effectiveness? How do I find an excellent practitioner?

I have hormonal migraines and I think I have tried everything within Western medicine. I am interested in Acupuncture and Oriental medicine, but how do I know who is good and who is not? Also, I know it is not covered by my insurance, so how much will it cost?

1It is well worth a try. I have had some for a trapped nerve in my neck and I was amazed at the results compared to western medicine. Like you say, you have to be careful about who you go and see . The lady I went to see was from China where the training takes at least 5 years. Here in UK it costs about £30 an hour.
